CPCHE launches national vision and strategy

CPCHE launches their National Vision and Strategy for Children's Health and Environment. The Canadian Partnership for Children's Health and Environment is pleased to announce the launch of :

First Steps in Lifelong  Health; A Vision and Strategy for Children's Health and Environment in Canada.

The development of this Children's Health and Environment Vision and Strategy for Canada builds on years of work by the partner organizations of the Canadian Partnership for Children's Health and Environment (CPCHE) to gather and synthesize scientific evidence about the links between environmental exposures and fetal/child health outcomes, translate it into user-friendly information and tools for broad dissemination, and engage in dialogue with decision-makers, professionals and the public about the evidence and its implications. CPCHE’s First Steps in Lifelong Health is a comprehensive blueprint for protecting children’s environmental health in Canada. In it, the CPCHE partners call for action by the federal government and others in the areas of (1) research, (2) law and policy, and (3) on-the-ground protection. First Steps in Lifelong Health, and the associated media release and backgrounder, areavailable on the CPCHE website in both English and French.
