CSI welcomes Dave Kranenburg as new Director of Programs

We are thrilled to announce that Dave Kranenburg is our new Director of Programs at CSI! Dave joins CSI after eight years as Executive Director of Meal Exchange, a national nonprofit organization with a mission to eradicate hunger in Canada by "identifying and implementing student solutions". Dave has deep experience in the food movement, a keen interest in social innovation, and was a nominee for the Schwab Foundation's 2007 Social Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Our search for a new Director was not an easy one! We received over 100 applications, met with with 20 candidates and reviewed 15 proposals. (Becoming a Director at CSI is no simple task – we make you work for it!) But Dave has precisely the right mix of vision, strategy and execution we have been seeking. He is rooted in the nonprofit sector, obsessed with systems change, and fascinated by new models of social enterprise. Even better, he is a great guy with a reputation for excellence in his work.

Dave's responsibilities include setting CSI's program vision, working with external partners, and boosting the success of CSI's members. It's a heck of a lot to handle but immensely important work. He is the right person for the job and we couldn't be happier!

You can read Dave's bio here.
