Echoing Green has just announced the 2008 Finalists for the Echoing Green Fellowships. A description of the finalists can be found here.
I must admit that I had never heard of Echoing Green before last year and was surprised to learn that they have been offering seed funding and support to social entrepreneurs since 1987 (!). Kudos to them...and man, do I love their website.
I was also pleased to see that Van Jones has been a Fellow since 1994. I heard Van Jones speak at the Green Living Show here in Toronto last year and was properly blown away by his message and his oratorial style. Green jobs should be on the radar for all of us working otward social change... you can read a bit more about his message here...
