Frontline Partners with Youth Network receives $50,000 grant!

We are absolutely delighted to confirm a $50,000 grant on behalf of our incubated project, the Frontline Partners with Youth Network! This grant has been received from The Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at CHEO and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

About one year ago Jenny Katz, the Network Coordinator, approached CSI asking if we could help. She was the volunteer coordinator of a fledgling network that was bringing together frontline workers from across a wide spectrum of sub-sectors, from drug and violence prevention to job training and housing support. The goals of the network were to support the difficult work of frontline staff, while breaking down the barriers between sectors and ensuring that the knowledge and experience of these members was helping to improve the lives of the youth with whom they worked. But the network was struggling to develop a governance structure that would allow it to tap the potential of network members and support their vision.

Sharing knowledge, changing systems and improving 'on the ground' impact - it was right up our alley. So we've been working with Jenny and the FPYN, helping out where we could and trying to secure some funding. Finally, we confirmed receipt of the funding last week, which we will use to help the network 'finds its feet' and make an even greater impact in the city.

Congratulations Jenny and the entire FPYN! The potential of the network is enormous and we are proud to be associated with such important work.
