Hub Hub Hooray!

Kudos to Kosmos for publishing this great article on the global Hub Network. The article describes the great work of The Hub in setting up an international network of shared work spaces that support social entrepreneurs - "an ecology of social innovation". We love what The Hub is doing and we're a proud member of their network... we're totally obsessed with the changing nature of work and the role of spaces like ours, an obsession I've learned we share with new CSI tenant The Movement.

Here's a slice of the article, well worth a quick read if you're interested in the emergence of these shared work spaces and the growth of social entrepreneurship in practice...

"Home to civic entrepreneurs, kitchen table pioneers, corporate change agents and sustainability forerunners, Hub members describe a culture that supports the risk-taking involved in learning through doing. It is the convergence of attention to the design of space and the hosting of that space that allows people to meet, work and make things happen. Hub spaces are transformative, and borrow the best from offices, lounges and cafés to create a new kind of social space where people are invited to be open, creative and daring, where serendipity is a welcome part of the journey and the path of ideas to action."
