Centre for Social Innovation - Where Change Happens!

Well, our first ever Discover CSI Month has come to a close, and we are still trying to recover from the intensity of it all. This was an experiemnt for us at CSI - we had never before tried something quite like this. Basically, our objective was to introduce the space to people who hadn't been here before. Our goal was to reach out to folks who weren;t familiar with CSI and give them a chance to see what we're all about.

We held a dozen free workshops, two "bring-a-friend-to-Salad-Club" events, a series of film screenings, a bunch of tours and then the capper: a CSI Open House event that included a Marketplace Promo and a Talent Night (and loads of wine, cheese, beer, cheese, etc.). Props to all of our talented performers and a special thanks to our volunteers and to those tenants who pitched in with their knowledge, time and enthusiasm.

We think we'll try it again next year, but we'll consider doing either a single week or perhaps a different month (winter weather can be dangerous!).
