Transformers: how local areas innovate to address changing social need uses a series of case studies to explore how and why some regions innovate to address local complex social problems. Importantly, one of their conclusions is that the capacity to innovate can be nurtured... this is reassuring confirmation from those of us working hard to help develop a more innovative sector, city and country right here in our own backyard...
