Ideation Uncommittee #4: The 'glocal' workplace

With special guest speaker: Dr. Alex Jadad, 2012 Pioneers for Change Honouree

Thanks to new social and mobile technology such as FaceTime, Skype and Google Talk, millions of people around the world today are now able to connect with others in ways never thought imaginable two decades ago (heck, even one decade ago!). New ways of being more effective change makers have arisen and we want to explore this together.

What can this mean for you and your work? What are the possibilities and challenges that arise from an increasingly mobile workforce?

We are excited and honoured to have Dr. Alex Jadad, a 2012 Pioneers for Change Honouree, lead a session for us in imagining dynamic ways to create positive, lasting change as 'glocal' (globally local) people.

Dr. Jadad is Founder & Chief Innovator, Centre for Global eHealth Innovation, University Health Network and University of Toronto. He is a physician, educator, researcher and public advocate, whose mission is to help improve health and wellness for all through information and communication technologies.
