ACORN Canada

ACORN Canada is one of Canada’s largest and most successful networks of community unions, with more than 20,000 low and moderate income members organized into 20 neighborhood chapters in 4 cities across Canada.

African Canadian Social Development Council

In October 2002, the African Canadian Social Development Council was created to facilitate the social development of the Continental African Canadian community - to enhance the capacity of the community to devise strategies and take actions to address its needs, working with sectoral partners, policy and decision-makers at all levels, and partners within the Diasporic African Canadian and wider communities.

Beth Moutrey

Beth Moutrey - Profile Picture Beth Moutrey is a painter, writer and therapist.  In 1996, Beth commensed studies in Art Psychotherapy in the United Kingdom.  She completed her post graduate training at the University of Western Ontario in 2000, specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

BFdesign - Profile Picture BFdesign offers clients a complete package. They provide a simple way of creating an effective brand, marketing and communication strategies, and website design.  Services range from complete branding solutions, to graphic design / layout, website design and consultation, as well as keynote presentation design. They are also available to help produce a podcast and video filming / editing.

Bikes Without Borders

Bikes Without Borders is a Toronto-based non-profit that uses bikes and bike-related solutions as a tool for development in marginalized communities. We currently have a project in Malawi supplying bikes to HIV/AIDS workers and are launching projects in Latin America in 2009.

Bleeding Heart Communications

Bleeding Heart Communications specializes in plain language for fancy ideas. We are passionate advocates of simple, elegant and effective writing whether for online or print media. Carlyn Zwarenstein, the original bleeding heart, has spent over ten years writing about social change and working with the folks that make it happen, making complex issues clear and accessible for anyone to read.

Borealis has the only fully integrated value chain in the carbon offsetting business. While others may be three of four steps removed from the offsets they sell, we acquire private land, plant our own trees and manage the health and permanence of our own forests and carbon stocks for the long term.

Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists - Ontario Chapter (CADA-ON)

Empowering and educating dance professionals in the promotion of the art of dance

CADA-ON is a non-profit organization that empowers and educates its membership of dance professionals to promote the art form in society. It was formed in 1986 in response to impending Status of the Artist Legislation in Canada and incorporated in the Province of Ontario in 1995.

Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention

A recognized leader in pollution prevention, the Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention (C2P2) encourages actions that avoid or minimize the creation of pollution and waste - pollution prevention (P2) - actions that foster a healthier environment and a sustainable society.  Our core business is the transfer of P2 information. But, we do more. C2P2 serves as a catalyst for behavioural change. We share knowledge with others so that they can include pollution prevention in everyday decision-making.

Canadian Partnership for Children's Health and Environment

The Canadian Partnership for Children's Health and Environment (CPCHE) is a collaborative partnership of ten groups that are working together across traditional boundaries to protect children's health from environmental contaminants. The partnership aims to: move children's environmental health issues into the minds of decision-makers both on the front lines and at the policy level; promote children's environmental health amongst caregivers and the public; and coordinate activities and create efficiencies amongst the partners.

Casa Canadiense

Can-Nica Partnership for Community Development
Casa Canadiense - Profile Picture Casa Canadiense was founded in 1992 to promote a sense of community and solidarity between Canadians and Nicaraguans.  The "Casa" as it is warmly referred to, is both a physical place in Managua, Nicaragua and an Ontario-based volunteer organization.  Casa Canadiense facilitates solidarity connections between Canadians and Nicaraguans, providing work-study trip coordination, orientation and accommodation in Managua, a resource centre and funding for small education-focused projects.

CCI - Ontario's Presenting Network

CCI is an arts service organization that is membership-based (presenters, artists, artist reps, venues, consultants) and serves the arts presenting industry in Ontario. We are a non-profit arts and social innovation network that seeks to change people's lives through their lively interaction with quality artistic experiences.  

Centre for City Ecology

The mission of Centre for City Ecology (CCE) is to cultivate a broad understanding of how cities - their economies, neighbourhoods, communities, and institutions – organically develop and thrive. The goals of the CCE are to increase ‘urban literacy’ and to promote civic engagement and community leadership in city-building. The focus of the Centre is largely influenced by the writings and activism of long-time Toronto resident Jane Jacobs. The primary focus of CCE in the next year is the expansion of a program called Jane’s Walk, inaugurated in May 2007.
