Bleeding Heart Communications specializes in plain language for fancy ideas. We are passionate advocates of simple, elegant and effective writing whether for online or print media. Carlyn Zwarenstein, the original bleeding heart, has spent over ten years writing about social change and working with the folks that make it happen, making complex issues clear and accessible for anyone to read.  She creates plain language materials such as youth-friendly versions of complex legislation or easy-to-understand explanations of technical scientific and environmental issues. Bleeding Heart Communications creates communications materials of all kinds-from annual reports to e-newsletters, from manuals to direct mail appeals-for clients working on legal, health, environmental, international development and newcomer issues.
