I'm the co-Creative Director of a great little advertising company that focuses on making visually striking and memorable TV ads, Public Service Announcements and viral videos for a wide range of clients including NGOs, unions and private businesses. I believe really strongly in the power of images and letting them speak for themselves without mucking them up with lots of text. I think social messaging can be fun, humorous and cheeky –making people laugh and smile is a much more effective way of getting your point across than the same old doom and gloom fear-mongering. I'm also a filmmaker and have a number of projects in development. I am interested in telling awesome, compelling stories in the sci-fi genre. Stories that focus on character over special effects, subtext over wordy banter, ideas over explosions (ok, a few explosions maybe.) Why I do what I do:

I do what I do because I love the challenge of taking complex social issues and finding interesting, fun and compelling ways to communicate them to new audiences. I worked as a graphic designer for 11 years in and out of 'progressive' organizations. I saw first hand how bad, how inside baseball, how narrow and preachy and ignorant lefty communications could be. And I want to change that. We need to put the sexy back in our political discourse.
