Friends of Fort York

Friends of Fort York - Profile Picture The Friends of Fort York is a voluntary, non-profit organization founded in 1994 with upwards of two hundred members. It exists to work with Toronto City Council and staff to raise the profile of the Fort York National Historic Site, a 43-acre, city-owned museum; to engage in official planning and environmental assessment processes affecting the fort; to support and help pay for attractions such as new exhibits, the Fort York Guard and Drums; and to develop and publish a  quarterly newsletter as well as award-winning planning reports like Fort York: Setting It Right (2000) and Fort York: Adding New Buildings (2005).
