Evans Health Lab

I am a doctor at St. Mike's and an associate professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto. I am very interested in how we can make health information more useful for the public: better quality, more accessible, and more engaging. To achieve this I run a Health Design Lab at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute (fusing creatives with clinicians), do a bi-weekly radio show on CBC's Fresh Air, and other fun projects such as a kids book (The Adventures of Medical Man). The new thing I am making, in partnership with YouTube, is a series based on "23 and 1/2 hours: what is the single most important thing you can do for your health?". Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUaInS6HIGo

Why I do what I do:

Not exactly sure.Mostly selfish reasons- I like to make things. Before I did medicine, I did an English Lit degree and ran a business.. so think I am coming full circle.
