Carla Weinberg

I am an independent environmental and design consultant based in Toronto, Canada. I offer a variety of services, including environmental assessments and conservation strategies, research and report writing, graphic design, and architectural services. Highlights of my work involvement include the development of a toolkit for green building council creation; green best practices and certification recommendations for the film and television industry; annual reports for Corporate Knights magazine about social and environmental issues in Canadian university programs; and functional planning for community health centres and social agency hubs. In October 2009, I launched the Toronto Design Nerds, inspired by the Vancouver Design Nerds of which I was a founding member from 2004-2006. The Design Nerds is an informal group that brings together people interested in design for an evening of collaborative brainstorming, fun imaginings, and possibly real projects that may arise. ”Nerd Jams” are held on an irregular basis.
