We opened our doors in 1983 to help women arriving from Southeast Asia train for office jobs. IBM donated seven typewriters. As we continue to adapt, we’re staying relevant and practical by using technology to move into a plugged-in presence where anyone can build their networks and connect with successful employment. We are launching an innovations office dedicated to program innovation and ensure that we promote innovation and support systems transformation in the social sector. The inaugural project is funded by Status of Women Canada, The project will conduct a gender based analysis of the intake process and leadership programming offered to immigrant women, and includes a women’s Leadership in Residence program.
