Environmental Assessment Process with respect to road and highway projects

The Ontario Smart Growth Network (OSGN) and SHIFT Ontario are hosting a seminar about the Environmental Assessment Process with respect to road and highway projects. The seminar will provide information on how the Federal EA process works in relation with the Provincial EA Process. The seminar will also critique the effectiveness of current EA procedures in transportation development. Speakers include Jim Chan of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, Ellen Schwartzel from the office of the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario and Albert Koehl of Ecojustice. OSGN is a non-government organization whose goals are to foster healthy communities, prevent urban sprawl and promote community engagement in planning.
