Top chefs and Master Brewers come together with musicians and artists to bring you an extraordinary local sustainable feast, a memorable evening’s entertainment and a deep appreciation of the food we eat every day. The Brewer’s Plate has established a reputation as one of the City’s first and foremost locavore celebrity events showcasing outstanding Ontario chefs such as Jamie Kennedy, Lynn Crawford’s head chef Lori Kirk and Brad Long whose dishes are charmingly paired with unusual and noteworthy local craft brews.

Unlimited tastings from a wide selection of Ontario’s outstanding local craft breweries such as Dennison’s, Great Lakes, Beaus and Flying Monkeys and cuisine and an opportunity to chat with over 15 celebrated chefs and local food champions are on the menu at the Brewers Plate 2011. Join other progressive food lovers to network, enjoy live music and entertainment, dancing and a silent and live auction with a twist.

The proceeds from this extraordinary evening will go to support the work of Not Far From the Tree, an organization which mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to pick fruit from Toronto backyards which would otherwise go to waste (and a member of the Centre for Social Innovation). With your support they will expand their highly-successful programming to a low-income neighbourhood outside of the downtown core encouraging stewardship of community assets and an insight into the joy of food and its sourcing.
