Part 1:
Intuition and Stress Reducing Meditation
We will lead a short meditation to get centered and connected to our own internal knowing of what foods and nutrients our bodies need.
Healthy and Stress-Busting Foods!
We will have a group discussion about foods and nutrients that are particularly important at this time of year, particularly for supporting the immune system and reducing stress.
Part 2:
POTLUCK- Health Enhancing Holiday Foods!
One of the best parts of our first meet up was sharing food with everyone. Please bring something to share and then we will all get to try lots of different foods.
The theme is Health Enhancing Holiday Foods, so bring something that you enjoy eating that is also nourishing and good for your health.
Some Ideas:
1. salads, vegetable dishes
2. hummus or other bean dips
3. fruit
4. healthy desserts (sweetened with whole sweeteners: maple syrup, honey, coconut sugar, agave, dates, stevia)
5. whole grain dishes (spelt, kamut, oats, brown rice, quinoa, rice noodles, rice pasta, gluten free options are great!)
Important: This is open to all omnivores, vegans, and vegetarians!
We are also sensitive to people who have food intolerances and allergies (such as gluten, dairy)
