Watercolour for Dummies or Painting Without Fear!
- Never painted before but dream of making something that reflects the beauty in the world and the beauty in your soul?
- Perhaps you paint already, maybe often even, yet you hate the drawing part of the process (welcome to my world).
- Not sure about watercolours because you’ve never painted, or never tried watercolours (because no one showed you how easy they can be)?
- Dying to paint already?
Then this class is for you!
My painting approach, which breaks down the painting process into two very easy steps, enables anyone to paint anything! Whether you are completely new to painting or have a few years of experience behind you, this course will show you how easy, fun, and soul-freeing watercolours truly are.
You don’t have to worry if you’ve never painted, or if you’ve never done one artistic thing, you will create paintings in this course! You will be a painter!
Benefits of watercolours
- They are portable and inexpensive
- They are easy to clean up
- The colours are luminous and gorgeous
- You will make paintings. You will look like a rock star!
Official Course Description
Whether you are new to painting, new to watercolour, or an old hand at both, you will learn an easy two-step method for representing any subject in a fresh way. That's right — from delicious-looking food, to breathtaking architecture, to the grace of a single, green leaf, to the glory of the human face – there’s nothing you can’t paint. We’ll be painting from still lives and photographs in class, but you can take what you learn into the world. Promise!
Upon successful completion of this course, you will:
- Be able to tackle any subject matter with only three tubes of paint, from which you will be able to mix an endless array of colours
- Have a toolbox of techniques to draw upon to create whatever you wish
- Have a solid foundation upon which to pursue further practice (coz I teach oil painting, too!)
Price: $220 + cost of supplies (3 tubes of paint, a small palette, one brush, paper, a folding portfolio). I will give you more information about where to get these supplies when you register.
