A true social innovation is systems-changing – it alters the perceptions, structures and behaviours that previously gave rise to the challenges it seeks to address. We recognize the place of traditional solutions but we prioritize those projects that address the sources of our collective challenges. Building Ontario's Social Enterprise Movement

Ontario's social enterprise movement has been in development for decades. But the last few years have seen a surge of interest and activity that has coincided with a global movement toward social enteprise and the blending of the sectors. The Centre for Social Innovation is working alongside a number of sector leaders and partners to begin thinking strategically about an ecosystem of support for social enterprise and social entrepreneurship throughout the province.

City Innovation
