CSI Starrett-Lehigh will open its doors May 1st!
After months of envisioning, re-envisioning and lots of heavy lifting, CSI Starrett-Lehigh (NYC) is set to open its doors May 1st, and we could not be more excited! This is a dream come true for many of us, and when you see our new home you’ll start to understand why. The Building: We’re taking over 24,000 sq. ft. in Manhattan’s iconic Starrett-Lehigh building built in the 1930’s and bordering the Hudson river. Fun fact: this building has 8 miles of continuous glass windows! The building has a history of attracting the most enterprising and talented tenants and we’ll be joining local and internationally renowned designers, multimedia agencies, and artists as well as some big names (including Tommy Hilfiger and Martha Stewart).
The Neighbourhood: Located in West Chelsea, the epicenter of an evolving art, innovation and technology scene, CSI Starrett-Lehigh is entering the thick of it all. With the development of the High Line, Chelsea has seen an explosion of new restaurants, residences and retail spaces, in addition to an influx of innovative corporate headquarters (think Google and IAIC).
What it means for CSI: CSI now operates over 100,000 sq. ft. of space across four locations in two countries, which presents almost infinite opportunities for social innovation! This is the next chapter in CSI’s story, and perhaps its most exciting yet. Are you imagining all the possibilities? Because we are!
