The Pirates' Ball is an evening of fun with door prizes, a silent auction, music, dancing and sea shanties.
Pirate Costumes are encouraged, a prize will be awarded for the very best!
Toronto Brigantine has for the past 46 years provided a one-of-a-kind summer adventure for youth between the ages of 13 to 18 years who live aboard a tall ship for 8 to 10 days as trainee crew members. The trainees haul the ropes, stand watch, climb the rigging and steer on one of our two traditional brigantine vessels the Pathfinder and playfair. Teamwork and cooperation are vital in order for the vessels to sail. After the first summer they can enter the winter Program and study seamanship, navigation, piloting and leadership skills. They then have the opportunity to become officers the following summer. The officers onboard are between the ages of 14 and 18 years and are under the watchful eye of the highly trained and skilled Captains.
