Regent Park Food Partnership REOI
The Regent Park Food Partnership (RPFP) invites food and urban agriculture related organizations and resident groups to submit expressions of interest to partner with the RPFP to operate and program one or more components of the new six-acre park being constructed by the City of Toronto within the ongoing redevelopment of Regent Park. The components include community demonstration gardens, a community greenhouse and a community bake oven. It is anticipated that construction of the park will commence this Spring with the various components operational by Spring, 2014.

Respondents should note that the REOI process is intended to shortlist Project Leads to collaborate with the RPFP in the operation of one or more of the park component(s). It is understood that RPFP (or a lead agency of the RPFP) will enter into a license agreement with the City of Toronto for all three park components with the option to sub-license to the Project Lead(s) for an initial period of three (3) years.
Shortlisted respondents will be selected based on their capacity, qualifications, experience, program vision, operational plan and other relevant information. Collaborations between organizations and groups are permitted and encouraged. Although the park is available for public use, one of the primary objectives is for programming to reflect the interests and needs of Regent Park residents, therefore preference will be given to organizations and resident groups who are based in Regent Park and/or those who have previous experience working in the Regent Park Community. Those agencies looking to collaborate with local groups can contact the RPFP directly through the information provided below.
Responses will be accepted by the RPFP until April 19, 2013 at 4:00 PM. Please submit a soft copy of the response electronically to www.socialinnovation.ca/regentparkfoodform. Alternatively, hard copies may be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the exterior as follows:
