Feb. 3, 12:30 pm: The Boreal Learning Network (14 mins). Join The Sustainability Network's Victor Reyes for this informative movie that describes the efforts of environmental NGOs and First Nations in helping protect the boreal forest. Afterwards, we'll talk about what people can do to help protect the boreal and to educate themselves on First Nations role in Canada
Feb. 10, 2pm: TED 2010 live at CSI. We'll be screening the launch of the 2010 TED Talks in our 4th floor common area, starting at 2 pm. Click here for more information.
Feb. 24: Inverse. Inverse is a short dance film created with Bravo!Fact based on the stage choreography of the same name. During the post-screening dialogue we'll talk about creative collaboration in the dance community and how it can be used in other contexts. Artistic Director Hari Krishnan will talk about how he works with dancers and incorporates their individual strengths/movement patterns/dance backgrounds/ideas etc into the choreography. Also the role of the Artistic Director - not only as a choreographer but also as an editor/director/team leader for other components of the finished production (costume, set, music composition). And what for him makes a successful collaboration.
