What can I do with RSS? Why should I bother? Intended for the not-very-techie and the somewhat-techie, this session will give a quick overview of some of the many uses of RSS, from vastly expanding and speeding up your information scan to quickly re-purposing online information.  We'll focus on Google Reader and its many uses, but will touch on a variety of other tools as well. Join TechSoup Canada for the April Toronto Net Tuesday event and learn about RSS. To RSVP, please register at http://www.meetup.com/toronto-net-tuesday  or email team@techsoupcanada.ca. Our speakers for the evening will be Marco Campana and Robyn Kalda.

Marco Campana

Starting his career as an Employment Counsellor, Marco Campana's work has spanned numerous non-profit sectors, including newcomer settlement, employment, information and referral and community-based internet projects.  He currently works as part of the Communications team at Maytree, a private foundation that promotes equity and prosperity through its policy insights, grants and programs.  Marco believes that technology is valuable when it is connected to our daily work and serves to enhance that work.
