The Barnes Management Group invites you to the next in the Pushing Our Edges Leadership Series, an early morning opportunity for a conversation about pushing your leadership edges and unleashing your capacity to lead and inspire at work, at home, and in the community.

This seminar, an introductory session on Conflict Resolution in the workplace has far-reaching implications on the climate of your organization and the costs it incurs.  We all know that conflict is a reality in many human interactions.  Whether it is an employee-employer conflict, union-management disagreement, a business partnership dispute or even a personal or family problem, if it is not resolved in a timely and effective way, it can exact a heavy toll on financial and personal terms.

At this workshop, we will discuss: how to identify a simmering dispute which has the potential to turn into a serious complaint, how to protect your best interest, how to identify your options, what is behind the stated positions, the Golden Rule of Conflict Resolution, role reversals and putting yourself in the other person's shoes, compassionate and thoughtful listening skills, what to do when stuck in a deadlock and lessons you can apply to prevent future disputes.
