Future of Hockey Lab

Future of Hockey Lab
“Although the game of hockey is loved by so many, it’s only available to a select few,” says Amy Walsh, Co-founder of the Future of Hockey Lab. We at CSI are thrilled to see this social innovation lab get off the ground, intentionally diversifying the sport through their programming. They’re looking for small project teams to brainstorm and test ideas to increase accessibility to the sport.

Practicing Exclusion
“The widespread use of defensive urban design paired with a lack of empirical research and academic critique results in it being advocated as a best practice without rigorous scrutiny as to why it is used, what kinds of spaces are produced, and how it impacts human well-being,” argues CSI Member Cara Chellew in the latest issue of PLAN Canada.
