Lisa Amerongen
Director of Communications
Lisa Amerongen is an Albertan expat with a penchant for making fun things happen in an organized fashion. She’s driven by a strong belief in systems change for social good. Lisa is a communications specialist whose interests and experience bridge social innovation, arts and culture, adult and youth education, and strategic design. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, and has recently completed Master of Leadership and Community Engagement degree at York University, a program which brings a social justice lens to her work.
Lisa is the Director of Communications at the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) in Toronto, where she focuses on content creation, strategic engagement, and project management. Prior to joining CSI Lisa was the General Manager of the Bad Dog Comedy Theatre for five years. She is an experienced improviser and facilitator with over fifteen years of experience teaching and performing improv theatre in Canada.
A bit of a non-profit jack of all trades, she finds the intersection of chaotic creativity and purposeful process a delightful space to work in!
